Lakewest was founded in 1983 by our father with a passion for building exceptional homes and lasting relationships. More than four decades later, that same commitment to quality craftsmanship, integrity, and personal service continues to define who we are.
For over 40 years, Lakewest Custom Homes has built its reputation on trust, craftsmanship, and relationships. We're proud to continue that tradition by creating custom homes that families will enjoy for generations.
Dan Jurjovec
Dan graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Finance. He began working in the industry at a young age, spending summers alongside the tradesman.
Today, Dan is responsible for overseeing day to day construction in the field. He works closely with homeowners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure every custom home is built with exceptional quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship. His hands-on approach and daily involvement help make the building process smooth and enjoyable for every client.
Dan is also deeply committed to the Naperville community. He serves as President of Naperville Responds for Veterans, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides home repairs and support for veterans in need. Dan is also actively involved in the Northern Illinois Home Builders Association, where he has served as both President and a member of the Board of Directors. In addition, Dan has dedicated his time to coaching his sons’ youth sports teams, including the Naperville Saints and Naperville Little League.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his dog.
Tom Jurjovec
Tom graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. After beginning his career in public accounting, he returned to the family business to partner with Dan and continue the legacy their father started.
Tom oversees project planning, budgeting, client selections, and the overall management of each custom home. His financial background, combined with decades of construction experience, helps ensure every project stays organized while delivering the quality and attention to detail Lakewest is known for.
Tom has also been an active leader in the Naperville community. He has served as President of Cress Creek Country Club, helped transition St. Raphael Football into what is now the Naperville Saints, where he also served as President, and continues to support Naperville Responds for Veterans and other local charitable organizations.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with family and friends and can often be found on the golf course.
